ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
"Coming Out and Surviving" is the theme for the 2010 Youth Leadership Conference (YLC). Organized by a group of SMYAL Youth, the YLC offers LGBTQ and straight allies between the ages of 13 and 21 an opportunity to explore their identity, navigate societal constructs around sexual orientation and gender identity, and learn from each other. The event will be held Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Friends Meeting of Washington (near Dupont Circle) 12pm-5pm, lunch will be provided. There will be a dance on Friday, October 8, 2010 6pm to 9pm to promote the YLC. Everything is free. Register online now before the conference is full!
