Meets every Thursday 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Young Men’s Group is a time for you to hang out and talk with other gay, bisexual, and questioning men ages 13 - 21. We talk about issues from coming out, safer sex, and bullying and street harassment to the ballroom scene, dating, job hunting, and getting into college.
Our events occur mostly at the SMYAL Youth Center, but sometimes we go out into the DC Metro area to participate in activities like Balls, cultural events (theater, concerts, and museums), dinners, movies and more. Come have fun and grow!
Young Men’s Group also consists of the following programs:
Brotherhood University: If you are a gay, bisexual, or questioning man between the ages of 16 and 21, then the Brotherhood University retreat is for you. The retreat is our chance to leave the stresses behind and spend a weekend relaxing with guys like us and take a look at our lives, self-images, relationships, sex, and communities.
